Teachers document behavior within a structured framework while administrators oversee escalation, review documentation, and ensure that consequences remain consistent and defensible across classrooms.

The system time-stamps entries, logs notifications, and supports schoolwide accountability so that the discipline process is clear, predictable, and aligned to policy.

Training and Implementation

Staff Orientation: Administration meets with staff to review participation guidelines and implementation expectations.
Classroom Setup: Teachers introduce expectations, define common classroom rules, and submit any reward options for administrative approval.
Parent Consent and Preferences: Parent communication preferences are collected early (text, email, or both). Landline-safe options remain available.
Launch: Implementation begins on the first Monday after required documentation and setup steps are complete.
Weekly Cycle: Monday through Thursday are used for documentation. Friday is used for recognition, rewards when applicable, and consequences.

Consistency Standard: After approval and maintaining at least an 80% participation grade with the program, the school remains in good standing. Everything is tied to consistency.

Documentation, Escalation, and Administrative Follow-Through

The School Version provides a clean escalation trail. When teacher-level documentation reaches the school’s escalation threshold, an administrative action request is submitted with supporting documentation.

Legal Authorization and Policy Alignment

Tennessee House Bill 1930 recognizes holistic programs of positive behavior reinforcement and reward-based behavior modification systems, such as The Ticket Program, and authorizes local boards of education or charter school governing bodies to implement programs that are age-appropriate, encourage parent participation, and reinforce positive student behavior across school, home, and community environments.
