How It Works!
The Ticket Program is a structured behavior management system that helps teachers document student behavior, reward positive actions, and address negative behaviors with clarity and consistency. It empowers a single teacher to manage their classroom effectively while maintaining thorough documentation to support any consequences administered.
Teacher Implementation
(Training, Implementation, and Success)
Program Training:
- Step 1: The teacher receives training on how to implement the program, including setting up ticket thresholds for consequences that fit their classroom environment.
- Step 2: The teacher gathers each student's top 5 preferred rewards and identifies the top 5 most commonly broken classroom rules. Students are introduced to the ticket system, and consent forms are sent to parents for real-time behavior notifications.
- Step 3: Once forms are returned, the teacher customizes the class settings, and login credentials are provided to the teacher and students.
Weekly Expectations:
Each week runs from Monday to Thursday for documentation. Fridays are used for recognition, rewards, and consequences based on each student's weekly performance.
- Recognition for Zero Tickets:
Students who maintain zero tickets during the week are publicly recognized, and parents receive a "Thank You" message electronically. No record is added to the student's behavior file for perfect weeks.
- Pre-Filled Consequence Forms:
The teacher issues:
- 5-9 tickets: Warning letter to the student and parent.
- 10-14 tickets: Parent conference letter.
- Fridays - Reward Day:
Students with no tickets enjoy their pre-selected rewards. Students with 5 or more tickets continue a regular academic day without special privileges.
- Weekly Reset:
Every Monday, all students' ticket counts reset to zero, offering a fresh start. Parents are notified automatically of the reset.
